    I was asked by one of my students today for the translation of the following instructions from a 1950’s French sewing pattern. Can you help please? It doesn’t make total sense to me. I look forward to hearing from you.

      Hello-this would mean…” When cutting,add in seams allowances,hems and edging as these aren’t included in the pattern” Many French patterns don’t include seams allowances and hems. Hope thats helpful. Good Luck Mary
