Mode Illustree was published from Victorian times through to the 1940s and was the leading fashion magazine of its day. It contains some beautiful illustrations of fashions and this one is from 1915 during World War One.
Madrigal was published in Paris, France in the 1950s and illustrated many of the sewing patterns that were availiable as well as some Glam pin up outfits!
Heres some pictures from the beautiful fashion magazine Mode Pratique that was published in 1907. Some of the sewing patterns were made availaible, and the lengths of fabric to make up the designs is very often indicated.
At the end of world war 2, Paris still managed to publish some wonderful magazines with glamorous fashions-these are 2 editions of Modes de Paris published in 1945.
